Worthing TTC Crowned Youth British Clubs League Champions

Worthing Table Tennis Club enjoyed a hugely successful weekend in Derby after being crowned champions of the Youth British Clubs League, completing the national competition unbeaten.

The Youth British Clubs League, organised by Table Tennis England, is a prestigious national competition that brings together the leading junior club teams from across the country. The league provides young players with the opportunity to compete in a structured team environment at the highest level of domestic junior table tennis.

Competing against some of the strongest junior teams in England, Worthing’s young players produced a series of outstanding performances to secure top spot in their division. The team remained unbeaten throughout the entire campaign, overcoming clubs including Woodford Wells, Birmingham, Draycott, Halton and London Academy. Two Worthing players also finished the season leading the divisional averages, underlining the strength and consistency of the squad.

The title represents a major achievement for the club and highlights the depth of talent emerging from its junior programme.

“This is a fantastic result for the club,” said Worthing Table Tennis Club Head Coach Matt Porter. “Winning our division at a national competition like the Youth British Clubs League — and doing so unbeaten — is a testament to the players’ dedication and the strength of our junior development pathway.”

The division title adds to a growing list of recent successes for Worthing Table Tennis Club and further reinforces its reputation as one of the leading table tennis clubs in the region.
