The Easter holidays started with a spin in Rustington with a free table tennis taster session for the local young people, the launch event saw families pack out the Rustington Youth Centre, all in preparation for a brand-new weekly table tennis session for children aged 13 and under.
Rustington Parish Council has partnered with Worthing Table Tennis Club to create a fun and affordable opportunity for young people to get active, learn new skills, and spend time away from screens.
Building on the success of the event, the sessions will now continue as a weekly table tennis club for children aged 13 and under. The sessions will be led by a qualified, licensed and DBS-checked coach from Worthing Table Tennis Club, providing a safe and supportive environment where young players can develop their skills, confidence and love for the sport.
The weekly sessions will begin on Tuesday April 14 at 6:30pm at Rustington Youth Centre, Woodlands Avenue.
There is no need to book, all equipment is provided, and sessions cost just £2.50 per child.
