Young table tennis players across the area are invited to take part in the new Worthing Table Tennis Club Junior League, starting on 23rd April. The five-week competition is designed specifically for players under 19 who are not already competing in other leagues (with the exception of the Cadet League).
The Junior League aims to provide regular match play in a friendly but competitive environment. As well as helping players improve their table tennis skills, the league will encourage teamwork, teach young players how to handle competition, and introduce them to the excitement of league table tennis.
The format will see teams of two players competing against other teams each week. In each match, players will contest two singles matches each plus a doubles match, creating a fun and engaging team competition.
Importantly, players do not need to be members of Worthing Table Tennis Club to take part, making the league accessible to young players across the local community. Players who want to participate but do not yet have a teammate are still encouraged to enter, as the club can help pair players together to form teams.
