Worthing Table Tennis Club enjoyed a fantastic day at the Worthing & Adur Chamber of Commerce Better Business Show, bringing table tennis to the heart of the local business community.
The event provided a great opportunity for Worthing TTC to showcase what the club is all about while meeting businesses, organisations and community leaders from across Worthing and Adur.
Our table quickly became one of the most popular places at the show, with people from all walks of the local business community picking up a bat and having a go. From local MPs and business owners to representatives from Worthing Homes, Dollop creative and AI transformers, and mascot Mackie from Worthing Football club it was fantastic to see so many people getting involved and enjoying a game.
For Worthing TTC, the event was about much more than simply playing table tennis. It was a chance to demonstrate how the sport can bring people together, create conversations and provide a fun and accessible way for people of all abilities to get involved and truly link with the local community
“We had a brilliant time at the Better Business Show. It was great to meet so many local businesses and see people who may not normally play table tennis getting involved and enjoying themselves. The table tennis table became a real talking point throughout the event.”
The day also gave Worthing TTC the opportunity to strengthen relationships with local businesses and organisations, explore potential partnerships and discuss how the club can continue to contribute to the wider Worthing and Adur community.
With hundreds of people taking part in Worthing TTC activities every week, the club continues to grow its role within the local community, providing opportunities for children, adults, older people and players of all abilities to get involved in the sport.
A huge thank you to the Worthing & Adur Chamber of Commerce for putting on such a fantastic event and to everyone who stopped by the Worthing TTC table, picked up a bat and gave table tennis a go.
Who knows — perhaps we’ll see some of you back around the table at Worthing TTC soon!
