Worthing Table Tennis Club Head Coach Selected to Represent England at Senior Schools Internationals
Worthing Table Tennis Club has had some great news this week with head coach Matt Porter having been selected to coach the England team at the prestigious Senior Schools International Championships taking place in Cardiff this June.
Matt’s appointment is a significant honour and recognition of his extensive experience and outstanding contribution to table tennis coaching at both club and national level. Before joining Worthing, Matt previously served as part of the Welsh National Coaching team, where he played a key role in developing elite players and strengthening the sport across Wales.
The Senior Schools Internationals brings together the top school-age players from England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, Jersey and Guernsey.
Speaking about the selection, Matt said:
“It’s a real privilege to be selected to coach England at the Senior Schools Internationals. I’m looking forward to working with some of the country’s most talented young players and representing England in Cardiff this June.”
Everyone at Worthing Table Tennis Club has congratulated Matt on his achievement, which reflects both his dedication to the sport and the high standard of coaching being delivered at the club.
Sally Hughes the club director said:
“We are absolutely delighted for Matt. His selection to coach England is thoroughly deserved and is a proud moment for the entire club. Matt brings tremendous knowledge, passion and experience to Worthing, and this recognition highlights the quality of coaching our players benefit from every week.”
Matt will continue his coaching duties at Worthing alongside his England commitments as preparations begin for the international event in Cardiff.
