Worthing Table Tennis Club enjoyed another successful Bribar bat testing day yesterday, the now annual event welcomes players for an afternoon of hands-on equipment testing and table tennis conversation.
The event gave members and local table tennis players the opportunity to try a wide range of blades and rubbers from leading manufacturers such as Tibhar, Joola, Victas and friendship to name a few.
Players had the opportunity to test drive, new materials without the need to buy before you try, while having expert advice from Bribar staff and head coach Matt. With players comparing different set ups and combinations and some players trying “funny rubbers” like Anti spin for the experience.
The day saw players from nearly all the Worthing League clubs and many of the Brighton clubs too. With everyone enjoying playing with new people, comparing setups, exchanging opinions, and getting a real feel for how different combinations performed in match-like conditions, with 14 tables in use all day long!
The event also had a strong social element, bringing players together and creating plenty of table-side chat between games. The feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive, with many appreciating the chance to test equipment properly rather than relying solely on reading up and marketing materials.
Worthing Table Tennis Club would like to thank Bribar table tennis and everyone who attended for helping make the day an enjoyable and informative experience, and we are looking forward to having Bribar back next year.
