We had 26 children attending 4 weeks of table tennis as part of the funded Holiday Activities & Food Programme from West Sussex County Council. All children are eligible for Free School Meals and were offered tuition on the importance of healthy eating and engaging in physical activity. The players learned through a fun way how to play the sport, basic techniques, fair-play and respecting each other through the rules of Table Tennis! It was with great success that we ended another camp with several children showing an interest in learning more about the sport and attending club sessions. It was fantastic to see some of the regular players but we also had plenty of newcomers! We’d like to thank West Sussex County Council (mainly the HAF team), Thomas A. Becket Junior School and Little Tums Catering for all the support and provision to help us run our first Summer programme and we’re looking forward to seeing some of the players at the club!
